Cooking Basics is comprised of fourteen lessons set up for total beginners. Each lesson will help you learn the basic terminology, the basic kitchen equipment needed to help you on your way, how to read a recipe, how to convert recipes written in the metric system, and lots more! This course is set up for those who feel they are totally hopeless in the kitchen! Everyone can cook, they just need to learn the basic skills and common errors. Simple Recipes. At the end of the course, using the honor system and a survey form, the student will be required to plan the menu and cook one simple meal and then fill out a survey about how it went.
