Course Description

Bartending and bartending skills are always in demand. If you're planning on hosting a cocktail party at your home, or thinking of starting a new career, or just want to learn how to make a certain drink, Bartending 101 is a must for all do-it-yourself bartenders. This self-paced online course can help you be an impressive bartender by showing you everything you need to know about tending a bar; such as the difference between Highball and Lowball drinks; how to shake, stir, strain and pour; the most effective remedy for hangovers; how to set up a bar; plus recipes and useful tips. Take the mystery out of mixology and learn to put together a perfect martini or create the coolest cosmopolitan.

Course Requirements

This course is open to anyone interested in learning the basics of bartending, though you will need to be over the age of 21 to pursue work a bartender.

Course Goals

This course will teach you basic bartending skills such as:
-Alcohol awareness, rules and guidelines in your state
-How to set up a bar- glasses to use
-Differences between drinks (alcohol content)

Grading Policy

There are seven lessons that contain 10pt assignments and quizzes after each. To successfully complete this course you need to obtain an average of 70 or above.
