Course Description

Outlook 2019 is the latest version of Microsoft's powerful email client that lets you not only manage email messages, but schedule meetings and tasks, collaborate with other coworkers, and work with a calendar of scheduled events that send alerts for upcoming deadlines. What makes Outlook different from many other email clients is that it is an entire collaboration and scheduling tool that benefits fortune 500 corporations, small businesses, busy professionals, and even students and home users. For large corporations, Outlook is the email client standard that integrates seamlessly with Microsoft environments and Exchange server.
In this course, you'll learn how to...
  • Navigate Outlook
  • Create and format emails
  • Organize emails into folders
  • Create folders
  • Use the Calendar module
  • Add appointments, meetings, and events to the calendar
  • Use the Task module to manage your to-do list
  • Add contacts to address books
  • Create address books
  • Create notes
  • Add images and charts to emails
  • And much more

This course focuses on teaching new users how to use all the features of Outlook 2019. First, we'll explore the basic ways Outlook can be used to create emails and format them according to certain standards. With Outlook, rich text formatting can be used as well as HTML. We cover creating emails with integrated images, graphs and stylized text so that your emails stand out from the vast sea of other plain text messages.

Next, we will work through all the amazing collaboration features of Outlook. We cover important Outlook components such as the calendar, scheduling tasks and sharing them with other coworkers. With Outlook, you can also automate incoming and outgoing emails using rules, which we cover step-by-step to help you manage and organize your inbox.

The final part of this course explains the basics of Microsoft's proprietary VBA language. This language lets advanced users automate functions in Outlook as well as create small applications within the Office line of products. Overall, this course takes you from the very basics of Outlook to more advanced features so that you can get the most out of your email experience.
With clear and concise step-by-step directions, beautifully illustrated lessons with screenshots, and HD Video tutorials, this Outlook online course will teach you everything you need to know to become an Outlook power user.
You do not need access to Outlook software in order to successfully complete this course. However, it is strongly encouraged.

Message headers are the footprint of an email message. Knowing how to read these headers will give you a better understanding of how your messages travel from your local computer to the recipient who receives it within minutes of you sending it across the Internet.

  • Lesson 14: Sharing and Alerts

Outlook provides sharing features and alerts that help you work with others on projects and collaborate with a group within your organization.
