An Event Planner - is one who plans and coordinates the details of an event as a profession. An event being a meeting, party, wedding, or any other social gathering. The duties of an event planner will also vary depending on the type of event you are planning and your client. Some clients will want you to do absolutely everything from creating and sending out the invitations, arranging the seating order, choosing the colors and design of the room, picking out the venue and more. While other clients will only want you to assist them as they plan, in other words, you give them vendors that they can use for their event and attending the event to ensure the vendors are in place and doing their job. Ensuring the event goes as planned. Instructor Patty Hansen teaches wedding planning courses for UniversalClass and has been a wedding planner/director for approximately 5 years. She has owned my own wedding business for 3 years.
