Course Description

Would you like to learn how to protect, nurture and help wild animals and birds? This course explains and demonstrates how you can help without being a wildlife expert. Though the course focus is on what you can do in your own backyard, it also will provide information on pursuing a wildlife rehabilitation specialist career.

Wildlife rehabilitationYou'll learn how to tell if a wild animal really needs help, and what to do if help is needed and what not to do.  The class covers transporting problems, health concerns, dealing with wild animals that become urban pests, the pet factor and so much more.

This course is for anyone who loves and cares about wildlife.  It is devastating to attempt to help a wild animal or bird in distress only to discover you actually made matters worse. Don't make this mistake.  Enroll and gain the correct wildlife rehab knowledge.

Wildlife Rehabilitation for Beginners is a class that will give you enough of the inside scoop to know if wildlife rehabilitation is something for you. Some people who believe they want to become involved in wildlife rehab, are discouraged and disappointed when they realize it is not what they had hoped. The goal of this class is to give you a realistic idea of what to expect if you want to become involved in your community. It will also teach you some basics of wildlife rehab, in order for you to better help the wildlife in your community. Furthermore, by learning and respecting what wildlife rehabers do, we can increase the awareness of what occurs in the human/wildlife relationship. Once you have taken this class, you will be eligible to enroll in classes covering more specific topics in the subject of wildlife rehabilitation.
This course offers 3.0 CEUs upon successful completion. You may take this online course with or without CEU documentation. An online and hard-copy Certificate of Course Completion displaying your coursework and CEUs earned is included with the CEU Option. We also offer an expedited Transcript Service for sending your accomplishments to a third party.
