CNC machining centers are among the most popular metal-cutting machine tools in use today. Almost every company that manufactures any metal products has more than one and is constantly searching for qualified people to run them. To fully master the use of a CNC machining center, a person must become proficient in three distinct skills programming, setup, and completing production runs. This class addresses two of the three; setting up a machining center and how to complete a production run (another class is available for helping you learn CNC machining center programming). Enroll today! This is a self-paced, online course. You have 6 months to finish. An instructor will monitor your progress and assess your body of work at course completion. UniversalClass™ offers many wonderful learning tools to help you get the most out of your online course, including an online portfolio service that manages all your course completions. Both of these viewers are freely distributed and can be downloaded from our website (www.cncci.com). From the navigation buttons on our website, click SERVICES and then click ON-LINE COURSES. The two viewers can be found at the bottom of this page.

CNC Machining Center Setup and Operation The primary goal of this course is to help you learn enough about CNC machining center setup and operation that you can secure an entry level position with a CNC-using company. If you're already working for a CNC using company, the secondary goal is to increase your level of knowledge about CNC machining center usage. If you're currently working as a CNC operator (not setting up machines), this course will show you what it takes to step into a setup person's position.

Instructor Mike Lynch is President of CNC Concepts, Inc., a supplier of training materials and computer software products to users of CNC equipment. Over the past 22 years, he has held a number of positions as tool designer, CNC programmer, NC analyst, and CNC operations manager for firms such as GTE Automatic Electric, Rockwell International, Cincinnati Milacron, and KGK International Corporation. He also teaches CNC Machining Center Programming, CNC Turning Center Programming and Parametric Programming For CNC Machining & Turning Centers for UniversalClass.

This course offers 1.0 CEUs upon successful completion. You may take this online course with or without CEU documentation. An online and hard-copy Certificate of Course Completion displaying your coursework and CEUs earned is included with the CEU Option. We also offer an expedited Transcript Service for sending your accomplishments to a third party.
