This course is designed to teach popular regional and multicultural recipes, as well as provide tips, serving ideas, and a bit of etiquette and customs. The lessons are arranged by meal, so that one can easily translate the lessons to real life cooking situations. If you are a vegetarian or on a restricted diet, this class may be difficult for you. Most of the recipes have been adjusted to fit a somewhat western taste, but remain interesting and as true to their cultures as possible.
This cooking course contains a collection of regional and multicultural recipes, instructions, and tips. If you've never cooked before, the instructor suggests you take Cooking Basics first, and then come back to this. Lessons are arranged by meals, so that your family, room-mates, or dinner guests will be your vict-I-mean taste testers.
This course covers a variety of recipes and styles, including waffles, bento, Italian regional dishes, advanced sandwiching including bread making and more. So come on in, and learn something new.

If you have never cooked before, or have some discomfort in the kitchen, you may want to take Cooking Basics, another great class on UniversalClass first.
All required reading assignments are available free on the internet, or can be found in the shared files. They are provided as supplements. All recipes published in the class, however, are either public domain or the inventions or deductions of the instructor, Nicole Lasher, or family members who have given permission for them to be published, and for financial compensation to be received through her.
This course offers 1.0 CEUs upon successful completion. You may take this
online course with or without CEU documentation. An online and hard-copy Certificate of Course Completion displaying your coursework and
CEUs earned is included with the CEU Option. We also offer an expedited Transcript Service for sending your accomplishments to a third party.
Certificates for levels of achievement and participation are awarded automatically. If you'd like to volunteer as a TA, then please let me know before you've completed all of your assignments and tests. If you become a TA, then I will promote your cooking and culture related courses here at Universal Class, as well as other sites you're running, as long as they don't compete with UC.
Certificates awarded by the instructor will vary and are based upon student merit.
Any awards you earn are considered unofficial (or temporary) unless you decide to make the award official.
To make an award official, there is a $30.00 processing fee that covers the customization, printing, and shipping of a hard copy of the certificate as well as access to the UniversalClass™ Transcript Service.
Official awards include a serial number that verifies the authenticity of the award you earned for a lifetime (great for employers
to verify your achievement).
