Nurse aides are the front-line workers in nursing homes and hospitals. The well-being of a nursing home resident or hospital patient depends not only on the skills of the nurse aide, but also on the relationship that develops between the nurse aide and the resident / patient. U.S. Federal regulations require that all nurse aides, who work in hospitals or nursing homes, that participate in Medicare and Medicaid, complete a State-approved training program, pass a competency exam, and receive certification from the State in which they are employed within the first four months of employment. State-approved training programs must be a minimum of 75 hours and include 16 hours of supervised clinical training. This class prepares you to be hired by a hospital or nursing home and work as a nurse aide trainee but does not count towards the mandatory federal requirement. The required federal educational hours are often paid for, and provided by, your employer during work hours. This class is an excellent value. You can make more money on your first day of work than you spent on your tuition. You will enrich your life and those you take care of. Jobs in the health care field are in high demand and this is a great way to get started on a profitable career. Enroll Now.
