Course Description

Hey parents and child care providers!  Want to give your preschooler or young child an extra boost in reading before the coming school year??  You don't have to be a certified teacher to provide your youngster with an edge in reading.  There are many simple tricks and games that you can begin to use right now to raise a reader.  Whether your child is two or six or somewhere in between, come to class to discover hands-on specifics to help build pre-reading and reading skills.

Nurturing Your Young Reader offers parents, care givers, and teachers of young children information about the process of learning to read. Each lesson includes activity and game ideas to try with children as well as information about different aspects of the early reading process. The class should be helpful to parents/care givers of children between age three and seven or so.
