Class Syllabus: Art of Digital Photography

You will be graded on the quality of your work, promptness of completion, and class participation, and percentage of correct answers on your tests. Certificates will be awarded in certain aspects of this course, including attendance, class participation, quality and timeliness of assignments, and test scores.
Course requirements
To get the full benefits of this course, you need a decent digital camera, or a combination of a decent regular camera AND a scanner!
You will also need a pair of 3D glasses for Lesson 7, available at www.3dglasses.com for $2 for three pairs.
All lessons, assignments and tests must be completed within a reasonable timeframe.
Lessons covered
1. Introduction to Digital Photography
-- an overview of what is digital photography as opposed to film photography;
2. Using your Digital Camera and its features for best pictures;
3. Using the Scanner;
4. Various Photography Techniques;
5. Processing Acquired Images;
6. Printing, Sharing, and Storing your pictures;
7. How to make 3D pictures
Your lessons will be available one at a time, so your next lesson will not be available until you complete your assignment for the current lesson.
Tests
There will be two tests- a midterm, and a final.
The midterm will cover lessons 1 -3, while the Final covers Lessons 4 - 6. The Final will not cover the entire course (ask you questions about Lessons 1-3, plus the rest).
Graduation Policy
Everyone who finishes this course will receive a Certificate of Outstanding Achievement, or Certificate of Academic Excellence, depending on how well both exams, assgnments, and overall class participation one does.
About me and this Course
The first digital camera that ever came out was in 1991, the Dycam, which was a nice and simple camera that allowed me to take a picture whenever I wanted to, without worrying about film. Of course now, about 12 years later, the digital camera has revolutionized the way people now take pictures.
I have never been without a digital camera ever since, and hope it remains that way.
So I consider myself a true expert in the field of digital photography. I have taken courses as well, in the field.
