Photography 201- Including Digital Process & Film Developing
This is an intermediate to advanced course in photography. Learn how you can earn big profits from taking simple portraits. Photography instruction, tutorials and online training include: Stunning Glamour Black and White Photography, Creating Modeling Portfolios and Composite Cards for Models and Actors, Advanced Lighting Techniques, Using a Digital Camera and Imaging software, and business information, photo-marketing tips and tricks that is sure to make your at-home or on-location studio a complete success. Forms, contracts, checklists, flyers and brochures are included as samples. Student will complete a series of photographic assignments and submit his/her work for critique. A section on "Developing Your Own Film and Print Processing" is included for those of who do not wish to use an outside lab.

Photography 201 offers advanced photographic instruction for those who understand the basics of photography and use of a 35mm camera. It also offers solid business set-up information. The tutorials in this course will guide you through putting together your professional portfolio, understanding and creating the profitable black and white glamour portraits, developing your own b/w and color prints, advanced lighting, commercial, press and digital photography and business start-up information. This instruction also includes actual samples of studio flyer's, forms, and checklists that you can use in starting your own studio.
Student must complete five (5) portrait assignments in the following categories, and submit samples for review: (a) Black and White (b) Glamour (c) Child Photography (d) Family Photography (e) Commercial Photograph. Online tests will be given to evaluate the students knowledge of the information in each section. The overall goal for this course is to help the student design his/her final portfolio of photographic samples, and to understand advanced photography techniques, developing his/her own prints in a home or day lab, and to have the materials and information needed to start an at-home or on-location portrait studio.

Course Description
This course offers advanced photographic instruction.
For those who understand the basics of photography, this course will teach you intermediate photography skills. You will learn the four basic problems of pro photography and how to overcome each.
There are also creative lessons on black and white portrait photography, photographing models for profit and their portfolios and composite cards, editorial photography, developing your own b/w and color prints, advanced lighting, commercial, press and digital photography and finally, putting together your own professional photographers portfolio and setting up your own at home or studio photography business.
Free downloads pertinent to operating a portrait studio are given including photo imaging and editing, bookkeeping, accounting, order and invoicing record-keeping. Student will also prepare photographs and submit them for personal critique by the instructor.
This advanced course is for the serious beginner, intermediate or professional photographer needing to further study the art and science of photography.

Course Lessons
Lesson 1: Four Problems In Pro Photography
Every photograph you take is a trial involving four problems: Technical, Equipment, Technique, and Artistic. In this, your first Photography 201 lesson we discuss all four problems in detail.
Lesson 2: Exposure - The Basic Technical Problem
Everything about a camera serves in one way or another to get the proper exposure. This is a very important lesson in pro photography.
Lesson 3: Advanced Lighting
Here the student will learn to use various studio equipment for stunning photographic portrait results.
Lesson 4: Professional Digital Photography
Capture the instant world of digital portrait photography for great photographic results. Student will understand the use of a digital camera and software that will create stunning special effects for your client to view instantly.
Lesson 5: Understanding Black and White Photography
In this lesson you will be taking at least 10 different black & white photos. Photographing models and talent for extra income will be introduced.
Lesson 6: Commercial, Product and Magazine Photography
In this section the student will create stunning magazine portraits using a friend, family member or client as his model. The student will also photograph objects for commercial photography including brochures or portfolio prints.
Lesson 7: Film Developing
Student will learn to set up his/her own at home lab and begin to develop prints.
Lesson 8: Studio Promotion
Forms, Contracts, Flyers, and Advertising are fully discussed in this lesson. Student will learn to create his own studio forms. Samples are also offered.
Lesson 9: Putting Together Your Professional Portfolio
In this lesson you will be required to put together your own original, professional portfolio of samples portraits for potential clients to view your work.
