Course Lessons

The Basics of Interior Design - This lesson will get you into "Decorating Mode." Let's look at the core issues first.
Paint... Your #1 Priority - Paint is your number one priority when it comes to decorating a room. White walls will not work. Let's talk about color.
Color Psychology - Color not only pulls everything together in a room, but it also creates mood and emotion.
Fabric - Fabric is used to create color, texture, weight and balance in a room. Curtains, throw pillows, upholstered furniture, table runners and seat cushions are used to pull a room together.
Furniture Placement and Creating Harmony - This lesson will give you a few pointers on where to put furniture in a room. Furniture placement is the key to creating flow in any space. Harmony is accomplished by the flow of all of the decorating elements.
Accessories and Lighting - Accessories are one of the last things you should put into a room. By doing this, you are pulling all of the paint, furniture and fabric together. Lighting, however, is like the cherry on top. It sets the mood and finishes the space.
