Course Requirements
Anyone who's interested in learning about aromatherapy is welcome to enroll in this class. You won't need a background in any particular area but you should have a high school reading level. No books are required. You'll need some kind of notebook, (spiral is good), so you can flip to the page you're working on. You'll want to take notes on different blends you're creating and amounts.
Course Goals
This course has 4 goals for students:
1. Learn the background of aromatherapy and how and why it developed.
2. Learn how essential oils work and how to handle them safely.
3. Learn how to use essential oils by beginning to blend and create recipes.
4. Learn easy ways to make your life healthier and more fragrant.
Course Materials
All course material will be provided in the lessons and netlinks. There are no required materials to purchase before taking the class.
If you plan to try mixing oils to create your own aromatherapy products you'll need: essential oils, carrier oils, containers and various kitchen type supplies. All this will be explained during the lessons. You do not have to have any of this equipment to start the class. You do not have to buy this equipment to take the course.
Grading Policy
You decide whether you want a letter grade or just a participation grade.
I will award certificate(s) based on academic excellence or merit and you can also receive a certificate of course completion by choosing the CEU/Certificate Option when ordering.
Class particpation will also be a factor in a final grade.
