Breaking Into the Freelance Greeting Card Market -- a market that remains stable and prosperous for creative card text writers. Besides the traditional greeting card messages, greeting card companies are constantly looking for fresh and innovative ideas and concepts. Most companies employ staff writers but the opportunity for free-lancers is substantial. Many greeting card companies encourage free-lance writers to submit regularly and even send out a newsletter periodically.
Writing greeting cards is a great way for writers to make part-time money. You might even be one of the lucky ones that can write cards full time. The success a free-lancer can expect from writing text depends on talent, careful adherence to wants and needs of card companies, and enough time devoted to studying the market. You must also devote your writing to new ideas.
Students will learn the facts, tips and tricks of becoming freelance greeting card text writers. The instructor will provide lots of netlinks and ideas based upon her extensive experience. She will be available to assist the student in revisions and marketability through their use of lesson assignments and extra credit.
