Course Description

This photography course will cover the art and science of wedding photography. In this course you will learn how to prepare and present a beautiful wedding album from start to finish, wedding checklists, and how to design low-cost decorations for weddings. This course will also include information on how to open a portrait studio, how to get clients with free advertising and promotions, how to get and keep track of clients in a new or existing portrait.

For this course you will need an automatic 35mm camera with an on-camera flash or a simple digital camera for submitting photo's. (for further information refer to the course syllabus)

Lesson 1: Engagement Photos - Capture The Emotion

Taking a clients pre-wedding and engagement photos. Or, take your own engagement prints for the paper and as keepsakes.

Lesson 2: Wedding Photography Instruction

Learn basic and advanced wedding photography. Learn to operate a 35mm camera, select film and developing, basic digital camera operation and use of available and simple low-cost studio lighting.

Lesson 3: Four Types Of Wedding Portraits

More advanced wedding photography instruction and the 4 types of wedding portraits.

Lesson 4: Planning A Wedding

Planning a wedding? Or offer wedding consultant services to clients, including ordering invitations,bridal supplies, flowers, etc. Plan a wedding with ease. Everything you need to know from traditional toasts, to what could go wrong with your wedding.

Lesson 5: The Business Of Photography - Legal Concerns and Operation

You will learn from start to finish everything you need to know to start your Wedding Consultancy Service and Portrait Studio.

Lesson 6: Preparing The Wedding Album

In this section you will learn how to prepare the wedding sample album for previewing to your client. Your job is to know exactly what it is the bride and groom want and what prices to charge.

Lesson 7: Customer Service

A great sales pitch may get you first-time customers, but great customer service will keep them coming back.

Lesson 8: Ordering Enlargements and Re-Prints

After the bride and groom look at the sample album they and their family will be ordering additional prints. Here you will learn just how to order those additional high-profit prints.
