The course Basic Math Skills is designed for the older student who wants to review and improve their math skills. They will learn the basic fundamentals of arithmetic (e.g. Addition, Subtraction, Division, Multiplication, fractions and decimals.) as well as practical problem solving, computing with integers, fractions & decimals. This site will contain both practice problems and a short quiz after each lesson and assignment. At the end of this course participants will be able to add, subtract, multiply & divide whole numbers & decimals, align numbers correctly for adding, subtracting, multiplying & dividing, complete word problems, add, subtract & convert fractions.
The only materials needed are a pencil & paper. It would be nice if students have a copy of Microsoft Word or Notepad but not mandatory. All reading material is available for everyone through our class net links, class lessons, class assignments, class announcements, class forums, etc...
