This course is designed for people who need to improve there basic math skills. You will learn the basic fundamentals of arithmetic (e.g. Addition, Subtraction, Division, Multiplication, fractions and decimals.) as well as practical problem solving, computing with integers, fractions & decimals. This site will contain both practice problems and a short quiz after each Lesson and assignment. At the end of this course you will be able to add, subtract, multiply & divide whole numbers & decimals, align numbers correctly for adding, subtracting, multiplying & dividing, complete word problems, add, subtract & convert fractions. Course Description

This course is designed for people who need to improve their "basic math" skills. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of arithmetic (e.g. Addition, Subtraction, Division, Multiplication, fractions and decimals.) as well as practical problem solving, computing with integers, fractions & decimals. This site will contain both practice problems and a short quiz after each Lesson and assignment.
The course Basic Math Skills is designed for the older student who wants to review and improve their math skills. They will learn the basic fundamentals of arithmetic (e.g. Addition, Subtraction, Division, Multiplication, fractions and decimals.) as well as practical problem solving, computing with integers, fractions & decimals. This site will contain both practice problems and a short quiz after each lesson and assignment. At the end of this course participants will be able to add, subtract, multiply & divide whole numbers & decimals, align numbers correctly for adding, subtracting, multiplying & dividing, complete word problems, add, subtract & convert fractions.

The only materials needed are a pencil & paper. It would be nice if students have a copy of Microsoft Word or Notepad but not mandatory. All reading material is available for everyone through our class net links, class lessons, class assignments, class announcements, class forums, etc...

This course offers 1.0 CEUs upon successful completion. You may take this online course with or without CEU documentation.   1. Lesson #1 Introduction to Basic Math - Lesson #1 is on basic math operations. Also there are some aids you can use for adding, subtracting & multiplying.
  2. Lesson #2- Addition - This lesson will cover addition. After completing this lesson you will be able to add whole numbers vertically and horizontally & to align numbers correctly for adding.
  3. Lesson #3-Subtraction - This lesson will cover subtraction
  4. Lesson #4 The Decimal Number System - This lesson covers the Decimal Number System
  5. Lesson #5 Multiplication - This lesson will cover Multiplication.
  6. Lesson #6 Division - This lesson will cover division
  7. Lesson #7 Fractions - How to convert improper fractions to a mixed number and whole numbers. How to find the GCF (greatest common factor)How to convert fractions to decimals. How to add & subtract fractions. Plus so much more.
  8. Lesson #8 Percents - This lesson will teach you how to convert percents to decimals and fractions, convert decimals to percents & how to convert common fractions to percents.
  9. Lesson #9 Calculators - This lesson component is all about calculators. It consists of the various types of calculators, 10-key diagram, hand positions, and an explanation of what each key does & how it works.
