Child Sexual Abuse is rampant  around the world, and it happens on a daily basis. Somewhere a child is being forced to perform sexual acts while you are debating on if you should educate yourself further about this topic. The lessons I have developed are designed for parents, caregivers, and anyone who has an interest in the prevention and the protection of our children.I have taken all of my knowledge and put these lessons into terms that  anyone can understand, and will be available for explanations if needed. There will be no technical wording which may cause the student some discomfort: it is designed as a "work at your own pace" course, and instructor availability when needed! Of all the books available on child sexual abuse, I have not come across one that deals with the prevention of it! Most books that are offered are for after the fact. One thing that parents and caregivers could use is a learning tool that can be used to explain the realities of abuse. A tool that can lead adults into a comfortable conversation with children about this subject. There are five lessons for you in this course which offers the following: THE ABUSER, SAFETY TIPS, IMPACTS OF ABUSE, THE VICTIMS, WHERE ABUSE CAN OCCUR, THE JUSTICE SYSTEM, EDUCATION OF OUR CHILDREN, and CASE STUDIES. There are so many relevant topics listed in these five lessons that it is impossible to list them all! Certificates will be issued to students who receive a grade average of 70% or more! This provides an excellent opportunity to add your new expertise to your resume, and to start putting your knowledge to use to prevent child sexual abuse! Constant instructor feedback will also be given to students: and sharing of knowlege would be beneficial to all enrolled, this can be done by posting new information in the forum area! copyright 2002. Instructor Cheryl Simmons, a human service counselor, has put together a layman's course on Child Sexual Abuse Prevention. The course is designed for people from all walks of life. The lessons are based on her opinions and what she has learned in her training, and in the field. The instructor has tried to make the wording as easy to understand as possible. She feels that people need to know the realities, but might not be able to understand the technical wording of such a complex history. Her belief is that if a student wishes to learn something, then it is up to the instructor to make the learning easy to understand. She has tried to leave out terminology that would make it difficult for a majority of people to understand without a college or university diploma!

This course offers a detailed look into the realities of child sexual abuse, and the learning tools to try and aid people in the prevention of child sexual abuse. The course will include the following topics: * Introduction To Child Sexual Abuse. * Personal And Private Parts. * Child Pornography. * Safety at Home. * Safety in Schools. * Safety in Sports. * Do's And Dont's * Who Can Harm Your Child * The Abuser. * The Justice System * Case Studies. * Incest ***Of course this is just a brief description of what these lessons will include.
