Bird Care taught by Katelyn Thomas is an important course if you're thinking of purchasing a pet bird. Students will learn about the different types of birds and their characteristics, basic care and training and where to buy cages and supplies.
Home-school students are welcome to take this course. If they complete all the assignments, they will do a research project and hone their research skills.
Grades are on a 100 point scale. Participation in the ClassForums, quizzes and completion of assignments are factored into the final grade. The instructor issues certificates for this course, and reference letters are available for everyone, but especially for homeschoolers who wish to have a concrete record of their work for their portfolios.
