Course Description
In "Guitar: Learn to play more", you'll learn familiar strumming songs, 10 new guitar chords and how to finger-pick the chords. In addition, students will continue to develop skills through left and right hand exercises and gain speed when changing between chords by learning simple chord progressions.You'll also get detailed diagrams and audio samples of what the songs and exercises should sound like.
Students will find this class to be extremely interesting, informative, challenging, and most of all fun. If you're dedicated to becoming a better guitar player, this class can make it happen!
This course is designed as a continuation of "Guitar: Learn to play". Before enrolling in this course, it is recommended that you take my first class. As with my first class, you won't need to know how to read music.
Course Lessons
Lesson 7: Combining the Right Hand With the Left Hand
The main objective for this lesson is to combine left hand fingerwalk combinations with
the right hand string crossing technique to play notes on the guitar. Other objectives
include analysis of chords and strumming together to
play a familiar song.
Lesson 8: Right Hand Arpeggios
The main objectives for this lesson are to learn two arpeggios, implement the metronome
to achieve an even rhythm, and develop a practice schedule to help gain proficiency.
Lesson 9: More Chords
Objectives for this lesson are to learn a series of common chords, analyze chord
progressions for improving chord changes, and learn a new song for strumming.
Lesson 10: Advanced Right Hand Arpeggios
Objectives for this lesson are to learn four new arpeggios and implement an exercise for
building proficiency and timing, all while making music.
Lesson 11: Arpeggios with Chord Progressions
The objective for this lesson is to fingerpick two arpeggios with chord progressions and
establish an exercise for improving rhythm.
