This class is for anyone interested in learning more about our Earth. The Earth is made up of spheres. These spheres interact, and include the biosphere, lithosphere, atmosphere, hydroshere. We will look at how the earth began and how all the spheres interact. Physical Geography deals with the systems of Earth and how they work.

Geography is often defined as the study of natural and man made objects and their spatial arrangement to each other. Some would also say it is the study of the physical features of the Earth's surface including the climate, and animal and plant life distribution. The history of geography has spanned many centuries. It has also developed into an important form for humanity. We use it in our daily lives. For example, when we drive, we have to think of what street to turn on to make it to work. When we build our homes, we often think of the area around the homes. This has led humans into dividing Geography into another smaller division call Physical Geography. In this class we will explore, the physical side of Geography.
Introduction to Physical Geography will introduce students to the history of physical geography and they will gain an understanding of the 4 spheres of the discipline. The course requirements in this class are to be able to read and write at a high school level. If you can not fulfill this requirement you can have someone else help you. Kids as well as adults are welcome!

Course Description
This is a non-technical introduction to Physical Geography. Physical Geography is the study of the physical side of Earth. This includes the four spheres of Earth, and in this class you will understand how Earth spheres interrelate. We will examine the atmosphere, biosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere and other valuable information. This class will explore the dynamics of Earth's physical side, and provide information about the Earth, probably not known to most. How our planet interacts affects us everyday, and knowing this information is time well spent. This self paced online course is ideal for anyone interested in learning more about our Earth and it's physical aspects. Whether you are a highschool student, a college student, a stay at home mom, or someone who just want to learn more about Physical Geography---this class is for you! Enroll Today!
