If you have a product or service to sell, newsletters are a great way to keep your name on the consumer's mind. Your newsletter should include information about what you do, but also articles with tips and advice from others in your industry. This is a self-paced, online course. You have 6 months to finish. An instructor will monitor your progress and assess your body of work at course completion. Course Description

Your advertising message is powerless without keeping in contact with your customers on a consistent basis. Not only will your newsletter supply information, but it serves as a constant reminder of your name or product.

Newsletters are a great promotional tool for any business, organization, school or town gossiper. Sent consistently -- whether weekly, quarterly, or once a year -- a newsletter keeps the members of your community informed with tips, tales or true stories. "Newsletter and Electronic Publishing" takes the most important elements of newsletters, and presents them in a simple step-by-step way with 56 netlinks as resources.  And there's an exclusive interview with Dan Poytner, author of The Self-Publishing Manual.

You will need approximately two or three hours per workshop to complete the class activities. Attend the course in as few as five weeks, or pace yourself for one of the three month sessions beginning in January, April, July, or October.

Instructor Judine Slaughter has a solid background in Newsletter publishing and she also teaches "Self-Publishing Made Easy" for UniversalClass. Students successfully completing her class will be able to: 1. Incorporate the basic 4 elements of every newsletter; 2. Write articles and find additional articles; and 3. Format a newsletter with Microsoft Word. You will not only learn with the workshop lessons, but also see examples from other newsletters, and more than 45 web links. Whether print or electronic, "Newsletter and Electronic Publishing" teaches the fundamental tools for researching, writing, and printing a newsletter. And when you are through, you will have the knowledge to be a newsletter editor.
This course offers 1.0 CEUs upon successful completion. You may take this online course with or without CEU documentation. An online and hard-copy Certificate of Course Completion displaying your coursework and CEUs earned is included with the CEU Option. We also offer an expedited Transcript Service for sending your accomplishments to a third party.
