The goal of this course is to teach the student how to become a teacher. How to effectively teach a young rider the skills necessary to move forward from the Basic Beginner course into a more challenging level of horsemanship. The student will be able to identify the basic gaits, equipment, safety rules, and apply them with their own students.

Students MUST have taken the previous course to be eligible for this course. Everything in this course and the previous course is designed on a building block approach to teaching riding lessons. Therefore it is imperative that both classes be taken. Students will learn basic riding terminology, basic safety and general skills, which they can then pass onto children and adults interested in basic knowledge of horseback riding skills. This course is great for beginners wanting more information about riding lessons and what they entail, as well as valuable information for seasoned instructors looking to add to their lesson plan.
