Grief Relief: How to Provide Gentle Care .Losses are an inescapable part of life, but when they hit personally we are almost always unprepared for the powerful feelings and physical reactions that they stir up in us. And too few of us get the kind of support we need when these losses take place, even if we have the luck to be surrounded by caring and well-meaning people. Let's explore the many ways that losses can affect us and to understand how recognizing the effects of losses whether recent or long past can help us to come to terms with the great losses in our lives.

The goals of this class include: increasing understanding of the complex phenomenon of grief and bereavement, particularly as it is related to loss due to death; increasing sensitivity to the bereaved and learning techniques for providing gentle care support to grieving individuals.

This course offers 1.0 CEUs upon successful completion. You may take this online course with or without CEU documentation. An online and hard-copy Certificate of Course Completion displaying your coursework and CEUs earned is included with the CEU Option.
