Course Description

Fun, easy course in greeting card writing - and you don't need to be funny!  We all have great ideas but if they're not submitted in the proper form, it's the same as having no idea at all.  And the proper form is easy.  Maybe you'd like the extra income $$$$.  I'll show you how I have added a sweet side income to my life. I'll share with you my experience in this field learned in over 35 years writing greeting card text.  Everything you need to know will be presented within this course.  I'll give you honest feedback on your ideas marketability.  I'm always available by email and interested in your success.   

One student made $75 for TWO words on a post-it note: "When's recess?"  The company added a picture of a frazzled looking teacher and sent him a $75 check!  When's the last time you made $37.50 per word?  That check could have been YOURS.

  • Read the lesson

  • Follow links

  • Keep your posts positive.

  • Put your class notebook together. It is a tool you will need for class and in the future.

  • Complete your assignments.

  • Take the polls and quizzes.

A few reminders ~
 
Please remember to use the assignment submission form rather than emailing your assignments to my personal email address.  This keeps your work within the Universalclass system for grading.  Anything emailed to my personal email runs the chance of being lost in bulk email.
 
ALWAYS keep a copy of your work.
 
With the 5 classes I facilitate, I must grade in the order the assignments and quizzes come in.  Sometimes it make take a few days before your submission is graded.  Please be patient. 
 
Also, I grade papers Monday through Friday and am off weekends.  Make sure to get your work in early in the week so you aren't waiting over the weekend, if possible.
 
These items will help you get through the class smoothly.
 
 

Course Goals

All reading materials will be provided through class netlinks or uploaded documents. Some books are recommended but not required. By sending me your completed lessons, I can give you input as to marketability and possible revisions. There is nothing else to buy.

Course Materials

It's easy to prepare for this course. Have ready a pencil and pen, eraser, postage stamps, plenty of practice paper, #10 envelopes and a stack of 3" by 5" UNLINED index cards. You will also need an inexpensive notebook with tab dividers. All reading materials are provided through class lessons, netlinks or uploaded documents. Nothing else to buy.

Grading Policy

Grade is based on the following: Assignments: Graded based on assignments being completed and class participation. Tests: Graded on percentage. 70% or better is passing. Extra credit points are rewarded for finishing the class in a timely manner of 30 to 90 days.

Disclaimer

This course, in no way, claims you will get a job writing greeting card text. You must contribute your own practice, talent and perserverance, as with any successful endeavor. This class is easily completed within 30 - 90 days in your leisure time.
