Course Description

Breastfeeding is the most natural and healthy way to feed your child, but parents often need some support and education. This class is intended as a general guide and overview. Being informed creates self confidence and helps you make important choices for your family.  This course gives you the information, research, support and tools to help create a healthy and happy breastfeeding relationship.

This class is appropriate for:

  • parents or expecting parents (very early parenting is important even with your baby still in the womb)
  • childcare providers (is your daycare center breastfeeding friendly? Do you know how to store milk if one of your families has a breastfed baby? Breastfed babies may also react differently to bottles and naps. Be informed! Be more marketable with a Breastfeeding Certificate)
  • family and friends (nursing moms need a lot of support; learning about breastfeeding and encouraging them to continue is helpful for the whole family)

and anyone that deals with nursing moms and babies (teachers, neighbors, nannies, etc.).
