Course Overview
The study of witchcraft is a lifetime of study, however the material presented in this class is core information, the "meat and Potatoes" as the saying goes without the fluff and hype, real information for real witches and the practice of magick. I suggest one lesson per week, which would mean you will be here for approximately 17 weeks. You are of course welcome to work on the material as is a comfortable pace for you. If it takes longer than 17 weeks that is ok. The material is lengthy and the tests and assignments will be a true predictor of your dedication.
The materials taught here will be as follows:
MISCONCEPTIONS: clarification on what the media in all forums has portrayed/stereotyped the witch to be. The reality behind the myth, legend and lore of withcraft and its mystique.
TERMINOLOGY: Basic terms that will provide the beginning student a base enabling them to grasp concepts in and outside of this class and to converse with knowledge with others in the path.
BELIEF SYSTEM OF THE WITCH: presented here is the belief in reincarnation, the treatment of those in and outside the Craft, society's non-acceptance and how to deal with that.
BRIEF HISTORY: Annotated version of the history of witchcraft and persons who live and lived in and by the magickal ways. The Witches and or Pagan version of Creation. The Inquisition, Salem Witch Trials, Modern Day issues that impact the lives of Witches across the world even in modern day.
ETHICS: The Wiccan Rede whose meaning has been broken down line-by-line for a full understanding of this beautiful work of words is relayng to those in Wicca and magickal paths. The responsibility and consequence of practicing magick and how the will of one person can and does affect the whole and others. The importance of the ethical practice of magick.
ETIQUETTE: A guideline on how to handle oneself socially at pagan gatherings and in a coven.
LAWS OF MAGICK: What these laws are, their interpretation, why they exist and how to live in them.
TRADITIONS: Presentation of mainstream traditions in Witchcraft, where they originated, brief overview of their particulars.
DEITIES: Listing of Goddesses and Gods, their attributes, how to establish a connection with them, how to ask for aid from them for magick and day-to-day living.
ANGELS, FAEIRIES, DEMONS, FAMILIARS AND ELEMENTALS: (existing elementals and created elementals) Who these entities are, how to verify the entity that you have called, what their attributes are (good/evil), how you can use them, creating an elemental, using the created elemental and the banishment of that entity when finished working with it.
WHEEL OF THE YEAR: This is the Witches calendar. In depth presentation of the Sabbats; history, date, correspondences (colors, symbolism), sample rituals for each Sabbat. This lesson will also cover Esbats (days/nights in-between the Sabbats) that are used for magickal workings. Moon phases and moon magick will also be covered in this lesson.
RITES OF PASSAGE: Explanation of the life journey of the pagan from Fertility Rite to Death.
CANDLE AND COLOR IN MAGICK: Color correspondences for candles, what colors to use for each type of magickal working/spell.
SAMPLE RITUAL: Here the student will learn how to properly structure a ritual for use as a solitary or within a coven.
SPELLWORK: A very basic and beginning knowledge of spellwork that is something the novice can later build upon. How to properly formulate a basic and easy spell (i.e. think of the goal one wants to accomplish, writing the spell, reviewing, and casting). Spellwork guidelines (i.e. why you shouldn't put spells on another without their knowledge/consent, repercussions from cast spells, indepth corresondence charts for colors, moon phases, months of year, days of the week and time of day to make a more powerful spell,sample formulation for a Cord or Magickal Rosary spell and a simple complete first spell to cast for the protection of your dwelling. Beginning spellwork that will take the student into the early facets of spellcasting.
MAGICKAL PERSONS:A brief listing of several famous persons in the Craft and their contribution to the magick and witchcraft.
MOON PHASES:What the phases are and how to use that phase to give an advantage to your magick, where to access a moon phase calendar and time sheet.
This core knowledge will be most useful in pursuing further experience in the realm of magick be it in my other courses coming on line at the end of January 2008 (#33897 this is a class on spell craft--soon to be title and brought on line ) and in spring 2008 additional relevant courses.
Course Requirements
This course requires that students:
Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
Must have an open mind and heart.
Must be ready to study hard.
Must be ready to handle the knowledge I will be passing on to you.
Must be serious and responsible.
Course Goals
The material presented in this class is not tradition specific as I am an eclectic solitary and therefore what I am teaching may be taken in to any tradition as basic knowledge and then the student may use that to build upon in the tradition of their choice according to the teachings of the tradition of their choice.
By eliminating the "fluff" and presenting the necessary groundwork to you, my student, I will send out into the Universe an individual with a very good core of basic knowledge of the Craft. One who will further educate themselves and perhaps one day educate another.
I am very interactive with my students in the forum, in email and on lessons, assignements and all other aspects of this course. You will hear from regarding every assignment, I will answer your emails and forum posts. Though some parts of this class are automated i.e. some test grading, I do have the final look over and I do input the final grading in for each and every assignment, test and lesson completed. I put in alot of time in the class and if you are looking for an answer or direction, please feel free to post or email. You will hear from me within 24 hours; most cases sooner as I do check in on the class throughout the day. This is not a class that runs itself, I run it, I am here, I am here for my students. The forum posts in my class between students are all positive in that I am a dedicated, knowledgeable teacher and a compassionate and understanding person.
With the knowledge I have passed on, you will be able to use this groundwork to make educated, ethical choices in your magickal and mundane life. You will have strengthened your mental and spiritual self. This strength is a necessary component to work wonderful, fulfilling and powerful magick.

Reading Materials
I have available for the student, a list of reading materials in the form of books, magazines, and almanacs. The materials are not required reading for the course, they are listed for future reference and for additional independent study if the student so wishes to persue other avenues of knowledge.
Grading Policy
There will be tests at the end of each lesson and/or combination of lessons dependent on depth of material.
Everything you need to know for all the tests is in the lesson materials.
The tests will be in yes/no, fill in the blank, check an answer and essay format. Each will have its own point maximum.
** Total points that can be earned at the end of this class based on tests and assignments and extra credit are 1800 points. The student will need a total of 1500 to pass. (This may seem high but I want to make sure you have the basics to avoid serious trouble in your magickal life. Allow approximately 20 minutes for each test and approximately 45 minutes for the final exam.
Total Test points to earn 820
Total Assignment points to earn 700
Total Final Exam points to earn 200
Total Extra Credit points to earn 80
(The extra credit are based on honor). Extra credit assignments will include watching movies(20 available points) and poll taking(40 available points)and class forum participation (20 available points). The following Certificates can be earned:
CERTIFICATE OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE can be earned by the student who has received a perfect scoring (1800 pts) in the class.
CERTIFICATE OF OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT can be earned by the student who has scored 1799-1700 points.
CERTIFICATE OF MERIT can be earned by the student who has scored 1699-1500 points.
Extra materials
I will from time-to-time post announcements when I have added extra materials to the class.(Not additional lessons or assignments). These extra materials may consist of diagrams, chants, poetry etc.
Questions and Comments
I will be in the class on a daily basis. I encourage questions, be patient in a reply as you will get one.
Many books or teachers will get into spellwork right off, however, one who will be practicing the Craft MUST KNOW THE GROUNDWORK. YOU ARE YOUR WILL. IF YOU ARE WEAK IN THE GROUNDWORK, YOUR MAGICK WILL BE WEAK. The course fee is as it is (you now the adage, you get what you pay for) but I WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH INVALUABLE INFORMATION OBATAINED THROUGH SOLITARY AND COVEN WORK. As with anything in life, you cannot start from the middle. The future may hold a class based on spellwork and more detailed workings of the Craft.
PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SPELLS OR OTHER MAGICK WORKS. I WILL NOT PROVIDE THEM. THIS IS NOT A CLASS IN SPELL WORK AND I BELIEVE AS I WAS TAUGHT ONE MUST BE KNOWLEDGEABLE IN ALL ASPECTS OF WITCHCRAFT BEFORE WILLING ENERGY INTO THE UNIVERSE.
About the Instructor
My teachings are based on the journey of my life. I realized around the age of 9 that I am different in the spirit than others and that my life was meant for teachings and experience other than the ways of some of my family members. My teen years I practiced and studied in secret from my family. My gifts come from my great grandmother. Past life regression has shown me that my magickal line runs deep and long in my family history.
I am a solitary (preference) that gathers on the Sabbats with other solitary's to celebrate the turn of the Wheel. I bring to this class my knowledge and wisdom from the many sources I have encountered on this life's journey and that which I find within me from past life experience. I do tarot readings, spirit board workings and spell craft for family and select clients
The Old Religion is simple, spiritual and enjoyable in a complex society. I believe that with my many years of practice as a coven member and solitary, the study I have accomplished these many years, my continual search for knowledge, my successes my failures and my sincere dedication to living in the magickal and mundane realms, that I have found a balance and attained a great advantage of knowledge, wisdom and experience.
Personal Goal
My hope is that I will have many students that will learn, understand and teach another. If I am only blessed with one student who will pursue the Old Religion, then too I will have lived a dream that someone else will further us on the way to acceptance in the mundane world.
