Course Description

Easy to follow and fun!  Take a really good look at yourself in the mirror. The good fairy is NOT coming to rescue you from those extra pounds.  You have to be your own good fairy these days!  I went through weight loss public nightmares all my life until one day I got real with myself and lost 180 pounds.  Enroll in this class if you seriously want to lose weight and have fun doing it.  I will give you the tools to put you on the path to your desired, healthy weight.   I've examined a lot of weight loss classes, scams, groups - and sifted through them.  Lose weight sensibly in this class - no fads or gimmicks.  Stop the pain now.  Get out of the deep rut you feel you're in every day.  Start loving yourself and feeling GREAT!

Course Requirements

You must be willing and accepting - willing to lose weight and accepting that the desired results of weight loss depend on your focused participation.
 
A few reminders ~
 
Please remember to use the assignment submission form rather than emailing your assignments to my personal email address.  This keeps your work within the Universalclass system for grading.  Anything emailed to my personal email runs the chance of being lost in bulk email.
 
ALWAYS keep a copy of your work.
 
With the 5 classes I facilitate, I must grade in the order the assignments and quizzes come in.  Sometimes it make take a few days before your submission is graded.  Please be patient. 
 
Also, I grade papers Monday through Friday and am off weekends.  Make sure to get your work in early in the week so you aren't waiting over the weekend, if possible.
 
These items will help you get through the class smoothly.
 
 

Course Goals

Course goals are to learn about the weight loss process so that you can control your weight through sensible eating and learning control; change your attitude toward weight loss; and to discover you have the ability to change.

Course Materials

You will need a pen, pencil with eraser, paper and a notebook for journaling. This journal will act as your diet reference.

Grading Policy

My expectations are that you will read all the lessons, work all the assignments, keep a food diary and journal. Extra credit will be given for special essays or other projects as the student's time permits.

No fad diets are recommended or supported. Although I mention diet programs in this class, it by no means a recommendation and is only presented for information purposes.

 

A physician should always be consulted before starting a weight loss or exercise program.

 

This course does not claim to make you lose weight. You must have the desire to do that in your own mind.
