Course Description

'Learn how to make professional looking presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint'.

This course will teach you the basic skills necessary to create presentations. It is designed for anyone who uses a Computer. Knowledge of Microsoft Word And Excel is recommended but not mandatory. Students will learn how to create A basic presentation, how to insert clipart, create slide transitions and also how to Create handouts & flyers. This program is much more than a presentation creation program. PowerPoint has included tools for programming, Web design, collaboration and animation. There are nine lesson components & by the end of this Course you will have created your own presentation. You can use graphics, text, Movies, sounds, and the Internet to share information on any topic. Using PowerPoint templates, you can quickly and easily create presentations for many purposes, Including lectures, research reports, meeting handouts and agendas, and Posters.

Course Requirements

1) To check in at least twice a week
2) Complete all 9 Class Lessons
3) Pass all quizzes
4) Complete all class assignments listed in the Assignments area
5) Pass all tests

Reading Materials

The only materials you will need are a copy of Microsoft Powerpoint already installed in your computer. All your reading material is available for everyone through our class net links, class lessons, class assignments, class announcements, class forums, etc ..

I will be awarding Certificates for

1) Outstanding Achievement to those individuals who successfully complete this coursework
2) Certificate of Class Participation for posting at least 5 messages in the Class Discussion forum
3) Certificate of Attendance for visiting this class at least 5 different days.
4) Certificate of Academic Excellence for achieving a grade of 70% or better
5) And various certificates to individuals who show there dedication and hard work

Assignments

When you have completed your class assignments. You will be doing most of them in Microsoft Powerpoint so you can both copy and paste them on the assignment page or you can upload them. Your first assignment is due within a week of enrollment. And then I would like you to finish one assignment per week. You must participate & do assignments at least once a week or you will be removed from the class

The class will be divided into nine different lessons

1) The Powerpoint screen which consists of Toolbars & there functions, Screen Layout & Views.
2) Getting started in Microsoft Powerpoint, which consists of. AutoContent Wizard, creating a presentation from a template, creating a blank presentation, opening an existing presentation, auto Layout & Help
3) Working with Slides which consists of Inserting a new slide, Applying a design template, Changing slide layouts, Reordering slides, Hide slides Create a custom slide show & Editing a custom slide show.
4) Adding Content which consists of Resizing a text box, Text box properties, Delete a text box, Bulleted lists, Numbered lists, Adding notes, Video and Audio.
5) Working with Text which consists of Adding text, editing options, Formatting text, replacing fonts, Line spacing, Change case & spelling check.
6) Color Schemes & Graphics which consists of Color schemes, Backgrounds, Adding clip art, adding an image from a file, editing a graphic, AutoShapes & WordArt.
7) Slide Effects which consists of, Action buttons, Slide animation, Animation preview, Slide transitions & Slide show options.
8) Master Slides & Saving and Printing which consists of Slide master, Header and footer, Slide numbers, Date and time.
9) Page setup and print
