Each lesson is accompanied with practice activities and a brief 10-point lesson quiz to reinforce what you have learned. By the end of the course, you will be:

  • Saying hello, goodbye, and introducing people
  • Working with the days of the week, months of the year, counting, and telling time
  • Conjugating verbs in the present, preterit, imperfect, and future tenses – and knowing what vocabulary triggers different tenses
  • Handling stem-changing and reflexive verbs, different ways of saying "to be," gustar (to like) and similar verbs that work like gustar
     
    Using personal pronouns, reflexive pronouns, direct and indirect objects, and negating verbs
  • Talking about parts of the body, the family, the extended family, home life, and common phrases such as dialogue in a restaurant
  • Coordinating nouns and adjectives, in the singular and plural, placing adjectives properly, and learning lists of handy adjectives that describe people, places, things, and colors.
  • Differentiating the prepositions por and para, prepositions the describe location, and the other most commonly-used prepositions
  • Asking questions
  • As a bonus, you will understand how "Cognates and False Friends" help in learning vocabulary
