Course Description
One Stroke decorative painting technique is sweeping the nation. In this course, you will be motivated, inspired, and enriched to learn this easy decorative painting. You will learn about brushes, paints, surfaces, apples, blossoms, leaves, strawberries, garlics, tomatoes, eggplants, carrots, radishes, green onions, as well as completed designs for many projects. You will learn how to use cardstock to construct pins that you can wear, with your unique designs, and construct decorations to be used on bags and boxes for gift packaging. Everyone loves to receive cards and hand-painted bags, as well as pots, mugs, stemware, and jars. You can decorate the memory pages to your scrapbook, as well as decorate an album cover or photo box. Painting surfaces are endless. This course will give you the tools, tutorials, and guidance to execute these painting strokes. Young and old can learn One Stroke. Joan Waff, OSCI (One Stroke Certified Instructor), and certified by Donna Dewberry, will take you through step-by-step through all the different elements to painting independence. Once you learn a few simple techniques, you will be ready to share your creativity with the world through gifts, bazaars, craft shops, craft shows, home decor, and organizations. Many people prefer in-home art study programs because working at their own pace is easy to fit into anyone's lifestyles and schedule. A table and chair in a corner is all you need. You will also get many websites to visit for supplies, painting surfaces, and organizations. Course Requirements
There are no requirements for this course. You will get written instructions and stroke guides in each lesson.
Course Goals
The goal of this course is for you to be able to paint apples, blossoms, leaves, bracts, strawberries, garlics, tomatoes, eggplants, carrots, radishes, green onions and construct cardstock pins to wear. You will be able to use elements alone, and with others, to create your own unique designs. After completing this course, you will be able to share your creativity through gifts, bazaars, shops, online vending, craft shows, as well as home decor.
Course Materials
Students will need to obtain the following supplies: Folk Art acrylic OR enamel paint by Plaid Colors: floating medium (colorless), wicker white, green forest, sunflower yellow, schoolbus yellow, burnt umber, maple syrup, berry wine, dioxazine purple, crimson. If you paint on glass, use the Folk Art ENAMELS. The colors are the same as acrylics. Brushes: Plaid by Donna Dewberry Sizes: Medium scruffy, 3/4" flat, #12 flat, #2 script liner Miscellaneous: foam plates (palettes), paper towels, wax paper, brush basin, soap bar or detergent, artist practice pad (50lb.paper weight is good or fingerpaint paper)

No grades are issued in this course. Your quizzes are geared toward your understanding of the lesson and thinking creatively.

Instruction Method
The instruction method used in this course is the "One Stroke" method. One stroke means, you blend and highlight all in one stroke. This is a simple technique that anyone can learn, no matter, what your painting experience is. You will be learning topics, one stroke at a time, and will build to a complete design.

There is no time limit on completing the lessons and assignment. No pressure at all! Completing this course is submitting all the lessons and assignments, which will be reviewed by the instructor. The instructor will send you feedback, as you submit these. The instructor automatically gets these by e-mail, when the student "completes" the assignment or lesson.
