is a very popular authoring software for creating interactive animation
for the web - from simple animated logos to full scale Flash web
sites. Anyone can create a movie, this class shows you how
to do everything in Flash the right way!
Great ideas deserve great tools - Flash plays an integral part in bringing your websites and video to life online. Flash
provides full design control to maximize creativity, resulting in a
consistent end-user experience across a variety of platforms. Flash is complex web development standard for delivering rich, interactive content in a bandwidth-friendly way.
This Introductory class will ease you into learning the program with
interactive step-by-step instructions, sample files, and guidance from
the instructor. Focus
is on learning the interface, tools, and basic features of Flash while
creating different types of animation and publishing content for the
Web. You will create animated logos, buttons, and simple movies to
brighten up your web site.
This course is designed for:

Flash MX2004, Flash 8, or Flash CS3 Software
Basic HTML knowledge
Students must have working knowledge of their operating system, how to save and locate files, and how to unzip files.
Course Goals
At the end of this course you will create animated logos, buttons, and simple movies to brighten up your web site. You will have a good grasp of Flash and be ready to move on to the more complex areas of Flash.
Grading Policy
There is no pass or fail, however certificate students must complete all lessons and assignments and make all requested corrections. Certificates will not be issued if the course work and corrections are not fully completed.

Learning Outcomes By successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
- Identify the major components of Flash: editor, panels, timeline, tools, saving and uploading files.
- Work with the tools, use the utilities, group objects, arrange objects on the stage.
- Create graphic symbols, use the Alignment panel, work with libraries, create and manipulating layers
- Insert keyframes and inbetween frames, create a frame-by-frame animation, summarize onion skins and frame rate
- Create motion tween animation, insert a stop action, use the rotate and spin feature, shape tween animation
- Create button symbols, use the getURL action, add sounds to buttons, publish for the we, and
- Demonstrate mastery of lesson content at levels of 70% or higher.
