COURSE STRUCTURE
Work at your own pace, the course should not take more than a few weeks to complete. It is an interactive course and requires completion of assignments, lessons and quizzes(multiple choice, T/F). If you are not comfortable taking Quizzes, you can contact the instructor for alternative testing procedures.
All quizzes are for learning purposes. You can retake each quiz as many times as you like until you master the material.
Forums are available for feedback and discussion on the lessons, and also for mutual support. This is a great place to meet other students and find friendly advice and help. Through interacting with the instructor and other students, you will develop skills needed to coach and educate couples.
There are many related Net Links to learn from. You can join a free national organization devoted to relationship enhancement. Certificates will be issued.
This course will permit you to become an active member in the National PreMarital Institute and National Marriage Centers.
Affiliation will entitle you to be included in the national directory and receive the benefits of a national advertising and informational program.
You will receive client referrals for premarital education and marital coaching from those couples needing services within your local community.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
There are no pre-requisites for this course. No prior training or experience is needed to participate.
It is recomended that each student complete all lessons, assignments, quizzes, be active in forum areas.
You must complete all quizzes to become a Family Life Educator and Coach affiliated with National Marriage Centers.
Reading assignments are not required for this course. It is recommended that after becoming affiliated with National Marriage Centers you view the many books, tapes and articles made available to you.

GRADING POLICY
This is a self-paced course. We do urge you to complete it within 30 days; this will provide the best retention of the material.
To complete this course you are required to have an overall grade of 70% or higher.
The course is graded on a straight percentage with
90-100% = A,
80- 90% = B,
70- 80% = C,
60- 70% = D
You will be allowed to take the quizzes as many times as you would like until you achieve the grade you want.
The assignments will be used to supplement and upgrade your score where necessary. Each assignment is designed to focus your thinking on the area you are working on. We strongly urge you to complete the assignments.
Special attention should be given to the assignment for Lesson 15.
As long as you complete each lesson and exercise you should pass the course.
Although spelling and grammar will not be graded for your assignments: please keep in mind that your work must be easy to understand or it cannot be graded.
