Course Description
Ready for something new? Have you been considering Wedding Planning?
Whether you want to become a Wedding Planner or you just want to plan an event and/or wedding then this course is for you. Join other students that are planning or starting their own wedding business. This course is for students that are ready to become Wedding Planners and not just considering it. Don't spend hundreds of dollars without knowing if Wedding/Event planning is for you. You can take this course, get a certificate and a jump start while saving your money for other areas such as advertising, marketing materials, and more. I will show you how to successfully get your business started, running, and how to be successful!!!
We will cover everything from getting a business license, creating a business contract, working with all types of clients and their budgets, what associations and other classes are available, marketing your company to working with other vendors and how to get the business you need to be successful.
Don't just take any wedding class take a course that will teach you everything from A to Z including how to run your business successfully, get client's to sign with you, create a memorable wedding for client's and how to handle a any wedding budget and still create a spectacular event!
I am a successful wedding business owner and author of The Little Wedding Handbook for Brides and Grooms. I have been teaching weddings worldwide for many years. I want to help you to become just as successful and do it with spending as little money as possible!
In today's economy, wedding planning is a way to be able to stay at home and work with wonderful people. Even if you start at just asking for 10% of the client's wedding budget or you want to make $50.00 per hour; your income can really take off. I will show you how to make your business successful. Depending on your location, your yearly starting salary could be as much as $20,000.00 and with in a few years you could be making $50,000.00. In wedding planning, it is really up to you and how much you want to make. Depeding on your successfullnes with making client's happy, realtionships with vendors, and getting your business name into the public's eye will really make all of the difference. This course will definitely teach you the ins and outs of how to make wedding planning a successful career for you!!
Weddings are beautiful and and it is so much fun creating and making others dreams come true!!! You can do it, let me show you how! This class does provide a certificate with successful completion and you can earn the tiltle of Certified Wedding Planner which means adding CWP at the end of your name.
Course Requirements
For this course all you need is internet access and a desire to want to learn all about event planning. There will be book recommendations but they are not required to take this course.

To become a Professional Event/Wedding Planner and to be able to start your own Wedding and/or Event Planning business.

*You will not be required to purchase any items for this course; however, I will offer you suggestions for reading materials that will assist you in the class.
Grading Policy
This course is based on Pass/Fail using a point system. 70 points or 70% will be passing, anything below 70 is failing. This course is fairly simple if you take your time and complete all assignments. For Wedding and Event Planners we must be prompt. While this course is self-paced, students have 6 months to complete the course. If there's no activity on your account in 90 days, you will be dropped to "inactive". Should a situation arise, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to work with you. It is important that you participate on the class discussion board as this helps you and others. Please ensure that your email is working. Should you change it during the course of this class, please change it in the class. I am available should you have any questions or concerns.
