Course Description When you strip away all of the dressings and trappings you’ve wrapped yourself in, how comfortable are you with what remains? In fact, at one time or another, low self-esteem is an issue that everyone is up against. Even if you just know someone else who's struggling with these issues, the lessons you’ll learn are sure to pay off. Society surrounds us with standards and role models that are virtually impossible to measure up against. Around every corner, there's another disguised needle with the chief aim of deflating your sense of value and self-worth. Without a clear view of the "real picture", it's all too easy to fall for the lies that are everywhere you turn. Is it any wonder, then, that more and more research indicates that low self-esteem isn’t just a mental or emotional problem, but one that can spill over into your physical and overall health as well? Fortunately, though, there are real, practical and effective ways that you can combat the attacks of low self-esteem and enjoy a powerful sense of confidence, value and worth. If you're like most people, your answer is probably "not enough." But is that actually true? How many times a day do you call yourself fat? Stupid? Useless? Ugly? Worthless? Undeserving? This course is broken down into a total of five comprehensive lessons. The first lesson focuses on understanding what self-esteem is and why it’s important. Lesson 2 concentrates on the damaging impact low self-esteem can have on your life. The third lesson will prepare you to recognize low self-esteem when it strikes and the fourth lesson will arm you with powerful strategies to help rebuild battered self-esteem. The fifth and final lesson will set the stage for lasting success by equipping you to maintain a lifestyle that’s centered upon a foundation of good self-esteem. When it comes to completing your course work, you’re free to work around the demands of your schedule and everyday life. However, while this is a self-paced course, lessons must be completed in order. You won’t gain access to Lesson 2's materials until each segment of Lesson 1 has been completed. All of the materials you'll need for successful completion are available from the moment you enroll and there’s no need to invest in any additional books or supplies. All you’ll need that isn't included in your registration is a journal or notepad you’ll use to work on your class assignments. As far as grading goes, each lesson includes a brief 25 point quiz, in addition to your written and practice assignments. In order to successfully complete the course, you need to maintain an overall score of 70% or better. Low self-esteem doesn't just affect the way we look at and think about ourselves, but also the way we view the world around us. It can also be a precursor for physical ailments and a host of other medical problems. Despite this fact, this course was created only for general purposes, not to serve as medical advice. But that doesn't mean that improved health and well being won’t be natural side effects of your progression. When it comes down to it, there's hardly anyone out there who can't benefit from the wisdom gleaned from successfully completing this course. Whether you're struggling from low self-esteem or you know someone who is, the information you'll pick up will prove a powerful weapon in defeating the negative beliefs and mindsets that have been holding you down.
