Course Overview
Get College Scholarships walks you through the steps of applying for scholarships. First, you are introduced to the largest resources for researching scholarships that you qualify for. Next, you learn what scholarships look like, and the various components of vital criteria you need to be aware of in applying for a scholarship. After that, you will get a feel for what the scholarship committees are all about, how they operate, and what they look for in reviewing scholarships. Then, you will learn how to write a scholarship essay, and will read essays that have won scholarships. Lastly, you will put it all together and walk through the process of scholarship application from researching resources to putting your application package in the mail. The course consists of a course overview and six lessons, seven assignments and six quizzes.
Course Requirements
There is no required reading, books, or other materials for this course. Students need to have a familiarity with the computer and basic internet navigational skills in order to research scholarships. Course Goals
(1) To learn how to apply for scholarships.
(2) To learn how to write a scholarship essay.

This is not a graded course, but rather a scored one. You must complete all course components and receive an overall score of 75% to pass this course.
