Course Description
   This self-paced history course will examine the ancient civilizations that dominated historical records between the time periods of 3000 B.C. to 1200 B.C. The class will focus on Ancient Egypt Civilization, Sumerian Civilization, the Indus Valley Civilization, Ancient China Civilization, and the Aegean Civilization. In this class,  students will not only discover where and why these civilizations formed, but also explore the history, culture, daily life and the impact these ancient civilizations have on the cultures of today.
    The course is ideal for learners of all ages; from the school age student studying history to the adult learner interested in enhancing personal knowledge. Everyone is welcome to enroll and explore these ancient mysteries!

There are no prerequisites for taking this course.
Course Goals
The goal of this course is to familiarize students with this time period in which five of the major ancient civilizations developed and dominated historical records.
Course Materials
No material is required and all reading resources are available online.
Grading Policy
Each lesson will be associated with an assignment and/or quiz. A final exam will review the class content to successfully complete this course.
