Course Description
Do you want and/or need to learn about molecules and how they make up cells? Do you want and/or need to learn about mitosis and meiosis? This course will focus on these topics. Learning about molecules, cells, what makes up those cells, and how those cells make up animals and humans is information needed in many careers as well as applicable to everyday life. This course is valuable for soon-to-be nurses, medical students, or anyone interested in learning about biology. Enroll today and enjoy this self-paced class!
Course Requirements
The ability to be able to read and write in English is required. Please complete the class within 6 months from date of enrollment.

To understand the molecules of cells and their role in biology
To understand the cell structure and function
To understand membrane structure and functions
To understand cell division
To understand the process of photosynthesis and patterns of gene and chromosome inheritance.

A recommended textbook is "Inquiry into Life" ninth edition by Sylvia S. Mader. The text is optional , but the isbn is : 0072419245 "Inquiry Into Life", Ninth Edition, Slyvia Mader. Grading and Certificate Policy
There will be 5 lesson assignments, and two tests. Each assignment and test is worth points, and an overall final grade of 70 percent or better is required to complete this course.
I will issue these certificates: Certificate of Class Participation: Posting at least 5 postings in the forums.
Certificate of Academic Excellence- For achieving a course grade of 70% or better.
Certificate of Outstanding Achievement- Completion of all assignments AND lessons.
These will be given out before you leave the class, and you may purchase them if you wish. If you enrolled for a certificate option and paid before you entered the class, you will get that automatically once you exit. You will be required to make a 70 percent or higher to pass. You can work at your own pace with this class.
