Course Description

The main goal of this advanced gardening course is to learn how to grow your own garden successfully in your region. This course will provide you with many files, links, information, and resources to achieve your gardening goals.
Some lesson's goals are for specific soil and sun conditions for many bushes, flowers, foliage, grasses, shrubs, and trees. Another lesson is for specific regional gardening areas of what will grow where and in what conditions. Another lesson is to provide you with information to keep your garden looking great by being able to detect garden pests and insects, troubleshooting your plants, and care for your plants. The last lesson's goal will help you in preparing and storing your garden products.
You will need basic knowledge of the elements of gardening in order to succeed in this course such as general planting knowledge, planting zones, your soil and sun conditions, seeds and bulb knowledge, and gardening terms. If you do not have this general knowledge, I would suggest taking a basic gardening course. UC offers "Gardening Basics" web site: http://gardeningandstuff.onlineclasses.com
